Why it matters

Ohori Park is a large urban park built around a pond and opened in 1929. Walking, running and cycling routes circle the water, while bridges connect three islands within the pond. The park's open space is only one part of the area: the Japanese Garden, Fukuoka Art Museum, Noh Theatre, rental boats and parking have separate operators, schedules and admission conditions. Plan the waterfront loop independently from those facilities and check each official site before visiting. Boat operations, lighting and parking details can change and are not treated here as permanent park-wide facts.

How to get to Ohori Park

From Ohorikoen Station or Tojinmachi Station on the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line, walk about seven minutes to the park. The site is broad, so the practical exit and walking time depend on the intended area.

03

How long to spend

Allow about 60–150 minutes as an editorial estimate for the pond loop and pauses; the 90-minute figure is not an operator-published average. Budget separate time for the Japanese Garden, Fukuoka Art Museum, Noh performances and rental boats, and check each facility's official information.
